Hi Kevin, Thank you very much for the information. I will have to double check with my son but I dont think there was any Device Error listed. He did reinstall the driver but it didn't make any difference. The drive has been working fine up until now. I had a look at the link you sent but neither my son or I are confident about checking inside the pc so I guess I'll have to take it to a techie. Thanks again.
