Hi Carolyn, I used to have Norton Antivirus on my computer and un-installed it two years because of problems. I currently use AVG antivirus which is available FREE. It is one of the top rated antivirus's and does an excellent job of protecting my computer. As mentioned, it is FREE. Give it a try. Download it first from the internet, save it to your download file, then un-install Norton and then install AVG. Check cnet.com for the download and you can see how it is ranked. Hi Steve While I agree that either AVG or Avast (both free) would do a better job than Norton (which I wouldn't have gift wrapped for free), I think the OP was asking about Spyware Doctor which is a spyware remover I am always wary of products that find mysterious spyware etc that others do not, they then ask you to buy the product to get rid of the mysterious spyware Odd that other free spyware detectors don't pick it up don't you think?
