He can only do one look-up on the internet though he resets the cable modem it's only good for one shot, i.e., he googles the error he received (IE cannot display the web page), that takes him to the links but he can't go further until he resets, restarts, etc., and by then he loses his links to find a cure. This just started happening. He always keeps on top of all updates. Restore didn't work. That one shot bit has me stumped. Any ideas? The computer seems to work fine other than that, so I was wondering if it was more ISP (U-Verse) related. Did think about uninstalling IE7 and try IE6 to see if 7 may be corrupted. Seems strange that it works fine for the first look-up though. Dunno. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thank you. 3. Don't think so, this was his actual Zone Alarm reminder that an upgrade (pay version) is available. I get the same offer but noticed it says upgrade - not update - so ignored it. My neighbor had the one you mentioned, we got shed of it with malwarebytes. I believe this was just an install gone bad, or, perhaps it went bad due to a problem with IE or something.
