Janet, You can purchase a "file sharing cable" at an office supply store and it works very slick (costs maybe $20 if that). It is a short cable - maybe 2 feet with a 'hub' in the middle that's about 1" around. The cable will come with a sheet that explains how to hook up each end, install the program to do the transfer of files and walk you through it. I did this when I transfered files from a PC to a laptop a few years ago. You do need 'usb' ports on each computer..don't know if there is such a thing as an adapter if you don't. Slower way is to copy records to CD to load on the new computer. I don't know if you are also looking at installing programs...you may have to install them on the new PC by downloading them from websites. I transferred PAF files, photo files and tons of other files with the cord and it was a snap. Jayne -------------- > Good Morning! > > I just purchased a new desktop computer.
