    3. I bought a new pc a few months ago and occassionally, a few times a day, the screen goes blank for a second. It doesn't effect what I'm doing so perhaps it's the monitor with the problem but that's less than a year old and the problem only started when I bought the pc. I think it is very slowly getting worse. Any advice please? Peter

    3. If you have another monitor, try it. If it operates without blinking out, then it's the monitor. If it also blinks out, it's likely your video card. I would think that would be covered on your warranty. Don't let that lapse with this happening. Also, might just wiggle the wiring to make sure it's plugged in good and tight.
