Hi Peter, Is it an LCD Monitor? Please make sure that the monitor is connected securely to your computer. Make sure the two screws are tight. As well, you may want to open up your computer and insure that your video card (if you have one) is seated properly. You can try inspecting the connection of the card to the computer and see if it looks to be seated properly. So, it could be any of the following... Monitor cable not connected securely Video card not Seated properly Monitor Cable is defective Video Card is defective Monitor is defective Hope this helps. Regards, Kevin.
