Now that we have more of the story. When USB devices are being used and the system goes to Sleep or hibernation they (the devices) may not wake up or fully restart. Tell us more about this computer. Try turning OFF the sleep and/or hibernation. If this goes way, then we know it is the wireless NIC. Some NIC can be set so that they do not shut down when the machine goes to sleep or hibernation. BUT, then on some machine this setting will prevent it from going into the sleep/hibernation mode. If this is a desktop, I see no reason to be using sleep/hibernation mode. I do not even use it on my laptops, but again they are plugged in all the time, except for when I am using it away from a power source. Go to Settings - Control Panel - Power. Set Standby (Sleep) to never.
