There was patter on another list some months ago about gmail. The complaint, as I understood it, was that on a list such as this, gmail did not send the poster a copy of his own message. The writer questioned whether his own messages were ever appearing on the list because he didn't receive his message on-list. I see that Kevin's message is from gmail. Did you receive it yourself, Kevin? Hi Lila Yes gmail in its infinite wisdom deems that it does not accept any posting from your own address "to save clutter in your inbox", which is clearly quite ridiculous, particularly with list postings There is a work around which originally took some digging out as neither gmail or sky (which is gmail under a sky name) would accept could be achieved If anyone wants a copy let me know This works with OE and gmail, I can't vouch for others It also means you get a copy of every post you make but frankly I prefer that now Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > There was patter on another list some months ago about gmail. But you CAN always go to rootsweb.com, and check the posts for each list there.
