I found this on a tech site: RE: Security Update KB956572 wants to be installed continuously... I had the same problem. I called Microsoft at 1-866-PCSAFETY. It's a free service for security related updates. I told them the KB number, the problem, and they took over my PC and fixed it. They made several changes and about 3 re-boots, but I am no longer offered the update. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: the above is not me but a person who posted on the site.
