Donald, What is the OS, Windows 2000, 98, XP or what? Is this asking for the password and a User account name, or up front in the BIOS area? Either ask the owner for the password, or if the previous owner gave you the system restore disks that came with the computer, maybe you could insert the system restore disk, reboot, and do a system restore and that might take care of the problem. ....
