Thanks to all that tried to help me. I forgot to say I don't know much about computers.. Here is what I see so far. I still have the little shield telling me I have one update .. KB956572. I did try to update to download from the site this morning. It said it was a success. I looked at my history and it seems I have had 8 successes downloading KB956572. and yet the security shield still has the update ready for me to down load. Some one said delete it and download KB956572 again. I tried to do delete from add and remove can't find it there.. If there is anything I can do short of calling for repair please let me know but in baby steps. (sorry about that.. just old and hard to learn new things.. ) Thank you, Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Wilson" <robowil@earthlink.net> To: <computers@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 17, 2009 1:42 AM Subject: Re: [COMPUTERS] Windows xp update > Barbara > > Have you tried downloading it from the website?
