Nivard, do you have a URL for PAF so that I can download the program? I didn't see a reply to your question, I'm not Nivard but when I started PAF I downloaded it from www.familysearch.org It is free and it is on the LDS site. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Offutt" <soffutt42@embarqmail.com> To: <computers@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 3:32 PM Subject: Re: [COMPUTERS] Family Treemaker problem Nivard, do you have a URL for PAF so that I can download the program? Hi Steve Go to :- Familysearch > Library > Key Resources Scroll down to Salt Lake Distribution Center (link) > Software downloads You will find there is the latest PAF and an add on called PAF Companion for reports PAF Companion has a free version with limited print capabilities and a paid version which gives access to the full version You can buy it on CD which comes with PAF for the paltry sum of 8.25 USD I bought it on CD which to me in England was about 6gbp if I recall correctly At some point PAF will be discontinued, I presume the LDS will go the way of some sort of online tree as others have done, as I cannot recall ever needing support for PAF I would think I will be using PAF for as long as I need to and in any event you can always export a gedcom and import it into any other program should you want to There is also a PAF list on rootsweb I have tried many programs and find PAF by far the best Perhaps others have more bells and whistles but those are little used and somewhat pointless in my book Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Nivard, do you have a URL for PAF so that I can download the program? > > Steve in Florida
Dead right, Nivard, PAF is 'formidable' Bob Platten, Paris. -----Original Message----- From: computers-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:computers-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Nivard Ovington
