    3. Jayne, I did try that and they are not there. I found the DBX files, but so far I have not found out what to do with them. Some of the things I read sound pretty far above my head. I will keep looking and maybe they can be salvaged. At least I know they are sill around, i just can't access them right now. 3. With a little luck, you've only corrupted the database of the folders, not the mail.Go into your settings in OE, and find in one of the tabs where it shows the mail storage folder. Just highlight that and copy (cntrl+c). Open Windows Explorer (win key = e), click in the address bar near the top, and paste (cntrl+v), hit enter. This will take you to the directory where your mail is stored. You should have a file for each folder you have in OE, with an extension of dbx. There will also be one named folders.dbx, which is the list of your folders. See if you find the files with the missing folder names... If those are still present, you can begin to re-build the folder database in folders.dbx. I forget the exact steps to doing this - so maybe one of the links provided by Kevin will show you how to do that. 3. Hi Lila, If you are using Internet Explorer you can use the following procedure to delete the files... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260897 If you want to actually go to the folder where these Temporary Items are stored, you can find them here... Start Windows Explorer... Go to the following location... C:\Documents and Settings\<< Your User Name >>\Local Settings You will find two folders called... "Temporary Internet Files" and "Temp" The "Temporary Internet Files" folder will be cleared if you follow the instructions, above, from Microsoft The "Temp" folder, however, is a bit different. You can select and delete all of the contents of the Folder (don't delete the folder itself), but some files may not allow deletion, as they are still open... just skip them. I suggest downloading and installing a program called CCleaner to handle this chore automatically. If you need help with it, please ask. I have suggested this program before on this list. http://www.ccleaner.com/ Regards, Kevin.
