Hi Jo, If you have found your folders, and they still contain your files, probably the easiest way to retrieve things is to use the import function in Outlook Express...Click File/Import/ then select Messages, then select Microsoft Outlook Express 6 [if that is the version you use] On the next screen select import mail from an OE 6 store directory, the next screen asked you to browse to where your mail is stored, do that and click next, it will open into where Outlook Express folders are stored, select which folder you want then click import and it will then import into OE and you should be available to access them again. The PP presentation was beautifully done but was 64 pages. I saved the presentation, but didn't want to print out 64 pages. I copied the side bar that had the outline in it, pasted it as unformatted text into Word, then went back and copied the appropriate pictures and placed them in the pages. I could resize the pictures to help on space. I got it down to 11 pages. -- Thanks, Donna
*********snip********* I want to thank both of you Bud and Kevin, I did not know what it was , but I should have. ********************** Just as an aside, the runtime error is caused because the program causing the error is looking for a visual basic program. Just highlight that and copy (cntrl+c). Open Windows Explorer (win key = e), click in the address bar near the top, and paste (cntrl+v), hit enter. This will take you to the directory where your mail is stored. You should have a file for each folder you have in OE, with an extension of dbx. Hi Bob, I'm guessing that you may have recently installed a new Screen Saver. (Just wondering !) If this is the case, I would suggest going to add/remove programs and uninstalling the Screen Saver in question (LIVING~1.SCR) Just a note... I know Screen Savers are, generally speaking, nice eye candy, but they are also an excellent way for viruses to enter your system, so please be careful and always know where you get the files from. Hi Gurus, I have a problem that I should be able to correct, but due to something called SENIOR memory I have forgotten how to do it. The problem is I get an error when I boot the computer and then when it is running I get the error about every 10 minutes. The error is as follows: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library --------------------------- Runtime Error! Program: C:\windows\LIVING~1.SCR This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- If one of you could help me I sure would appreciate it.
