    3. Kevin is so right. There are many levels of competence on this forum, but we can learn a lot from the ones who are further advanced than us beginners. Thanks, Kevin. I use Firefox too, and it has taken me awhile to get used to new ways of doing things. Mildred in WI

    3. Just as a refresher and not meant to insult anyone's intelligence... we are all at different levels of competency here !!! Windows Explorer allows you to browse all of the Folders and Files on your Hard Drive To OPEN Windows Explorer, there is an easy way with today's modern keyboards... Click on the Key Combination... <<Windows Key>> and E There are usually 2 <<Windows Key>> buttons on your keyboard... on either side of the SpaceBar (or near the SpaceBar) There are many Keyboard shortcuts for Windows using the <<Windows Key>> and they are listed here (amongst MANY others) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/126449 I only mention this as I find these Keyboard shortcuts to be very useful and a big time saver. 3. Hi Judith Some people who had this problem suspected a corrupted Delete Items.dbx file. They deleted it and the next time they deleted a file, a new Deleted Items.dbx file was created which solved the problem. If you wish to try this, go to OE - Tools - Options - Maintenance. Open Store folder and write down the file contained there. Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools - Folder Options- View. Select show Hidden files and folders. Next in Windows Explorer go to the Store Folder address you wrote down. Delete the Deleted Items.dbx File. If that was the problem you should be able to delete files once more. Is there any way that I can recover them for free? I downloaded a "free" evaluation program to do this and it found the emails, but when I tried to recover them it said that feature wasn't available till I registered and "paid" for their program. Is there anything I can to for free? These emails haven't been compacted yet. > > Thanks, > Pat >
