Hi Listers. An icon appeared on my desktop last night called Babylon. It seems to have taken over all my browsers apart from Internet Explorer which gave me a choice of keeping Bing or switching to Babylon. It has wiped out my profile in Google Chrome and a message came up to check if it exists. I don't like the changes but there does not seem anyway to get rid of it. When I tried to remove it in Add/Remove programs it does not show up. This is on my Windows XP computer. A few minutes later On my Windows 7 computer there was an alarm that sounded saying there was an intruder trying to get in. I can only assume that it was Babylon trying to install itself there. Windows defender stopped that one thank goodness. Can anyone offer advice on how to get rid of this nuisance that I did not ask for nor want please? It would be greatly appreciated. Very many thanks in advance. Jean McCarthy nee Moore -- http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jeanmccarthy36/ [email protected]

Mary, thank you for your prompt reply. I was almost sure this was the way to go but wanted to get confirmation from someone who had used the wireless adapter before spending money for something that I wasn't sure would work. I don't believe there are actually two different folders, I believe they just appear that way and can be addressed either way. Lloyd, It would help if you told us what version of Windows you are using. On a Windows 7 machine, you can control what and when a icon is displayed in the navigation area. There is a small with triangle pointing upward, it is the "Show hidden Icon" icon. Click it and select "Customize" and there you can change the settings the you want. Also there MAY be a "Option" within the program itself, to show or not to show the icon in the navigation area. Hello Listers, Could someone tell me if it is possible to turn a video clip the right way around, as we do the photos, I have a few Video clips that are playing sideways on my P.C. & I can see no way to fix it. I have Windows 7, 64 bit. Thanking You, Margaret, Port Stephens, NSW.
Hi Margaret, You will need a software solution. In other words, you will need to install a program such as VirtualDub to do this. Alternately, I believe that Windows Movie Maker may do the trick... "You can rotate your videos in windows movie maker import the movie then add it to the story board then right click it then click on video effect then scroll down to you see rotate then flip it to 270 degrees depending on your situation -then click on save movie file" ... from this link... http://www.videoforums.co.uk/general-software-problems/14144-how-rotate-video-clip.html VirtualDub http://www.labnol.org/software/tutorials/rotate-video-vertical-clips-90-degrees-virtualdub/2657/ http://www.virtualdub.org/ Regards, Kevin.
