    3. Hi Joe, If I understand you correctly... If you were able to copy the TEXT file over to the Flash Drive then it is not a "Write Protect" issue. How are you trying to copy the HTML file? Is it the same way you copied the Text file ? You should be able to use Windows Explorer and just drag the file from your C: drive location to the Flash Drive. Regards, Kevin. It's not hard to find a brand new copy of XP for not too much money. I'd suggest she get someone knowledgeable to install it for her. A simple upgrade should work fine, but if she has someone else do it, she can ask that that back up her data first, just in case.

    3. View source is not an editor. You need to open the file with a plain text editor or a HTML program. Then make changes and then it can be resaved. To view the file as a webpage, you would open it using a browser. 3. Did you try pasting it to Notepad, renaming it ____.html and then uploading to flashdrive. Unless it is on the ftp server you cannot "update" it. You can save it on your C drive and then update it but it changes wont be made unthe file on the server is updated. But, I guess you are aware of that. =========== How does one copy an HTML file to a flashdrive? I have tried using "copy and paste" but the "paste" is greyed out on the flashdrive. I do not intend to use this very long, but it brought up  couple of questions.   The wireless connection is connected to a box direct from the provider, and is in use by her sons. She uses the direct box only. The question is - - - is her connection secure with just the usual windows firewall & anti-virus. How safe are the computers connected to the wireless?   Bea
