Looking for ancestors/family of Allen Compton, b. 1836, d. 1910, bur. Mt. Zion Cem, near Kilduff, southeast of Newton, Jasper Co, IA. Allen married Elizabeth Marshall, b. 1842, d. 1928, also buried Mt. Zion Cem. Their children included Nathan, Dora Ann, and Sylvester Marshall. I do not know if there is a relationship, but Nathan Compton, b. 1800 SC, d. 1855 Henry Co, IN married Nancy Pressnall. They had 11 children, including an Allen Compton. This Allen is of the correct age, but ???? If anyone has information on either of these families, please let me know.
