SUBJECT: Compton Graveyard 2. LOCATION: 1 mile north of Culpeper, Virginia, on Route #29; thence northwest 10 miles on Route #49; thence east .6 mile on Route #627; thence 100 yards south of house. 3. DATE: 1882 date of oldest grave 4. OWNERS: Report on Woodward Place dated June 9, 1937 5. DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is about sixty feet square. This is fenced in with a wire fence, as is the Woodward graveyard near by. This is one of the three graveyards on this place. 6.
