Am looking for information on Charity C. Compton....family rumor has it that she was a Cherokee Indian...but...who knows. She is the mother of Thurston Beauregard Hurst, Geneva Hurst, Noah C. Hurst, and Marion Hurst..... She lived in Pike County KY, in 1880 and 1900, but was born in VA?... One of Leander Lee Comptons ggrandchildren place her with that family, but we are unable to prove it.... Any information appreciated....Thanks, Judi Miniard.
