(?), b. 1776 (MD?, MS?), d. 1843, Jefferson County, MS. Stephen Compton, listed in wilkinson county, MS census , 1792. Supposed to have come from MD with a group of settlers into the Natchez District. will appreciate any clue that might link this Stephen Compton to MD. Thanks, A.Ross Heinle
