Dear Clark, I have a list of children of William and there is a son, William. He married Martha Ferrell in Wilson County. I don't have a date for the marriage but I have his birth date as 1815 and Martha's as 1813. My Nancy Compton and Joel Echols are in the 1850 census in Hamilton County, IL with 7 children. All of the children but one were born in TN. The one born in IL was one year old. Nancy and Joel both died in Hamilton County, IL, so my Nancy did not go to TX. Their son (my great grandfather) did go to Erath County, TX. I am also looking for the family of Judith Compton that married John Echols in 1806 in TN. I don't have a county on this. The are also in Hamilton County, IL. Might we still have a connection? Cheryl Dillman
