Hi List! I'm looking for info on my great grandfather Charles Stephen COMPTON. What I know is that he came to NY around 1904 from Thurles, Tipperary, Ireland. He married Mary Agnes MORRISSEY in St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church (59th St. & Columbus Ave.) in 1907. They had three children Josephine b. August 4, 1908, (my grandmother), Helen b. December 13, 1909, and Charles b. November 3, 1912. The family lived in the Fordham area of the Bronx. Charles Stephen COMPTON worked as a motorman on the trolley cars for The Third Avenue Railroad Company. He was struck and killed by a hit and run driver in April 1927. He had a sister named Ellen who lived in Chicago and married Andrew Lee GWINN. Ellen and Andrew had at least one child, Byron Charles, who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. Does anyone know of this family and the family left behind in Ireland? Any info at all would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance, Mary
