Before? 1811, they moved to Adair/Russell Co.,KY area. Ebenezer and Ailecy had 8 children, some in Henry Co.,VA, and the others in Adair/Russell Co.,KY. Sharon Ebenezer was born Sept. 3, 1772 in New York City, NY and died September 19, 1850 in Russell County, Ky. He married Ailcey Hopper May 6, 1794 in Henry County, Va. the daughter of Thomas Hopper and Myma (Unknown last name). She was born Abt. 1771 in Henry County, Va. and died aft. 1850 in Russell County. Ky. Ebenezer was baptized in First Presby. Church, New York City, N.Y. Ebenezer and his mother lived for a time in Rockingham County, N.C. He was in the 1790 Census there-in 1794 he married Ailcey in Henry County, VA. just across the state line from where he lived in N.C. Had at least two children born in N.C. Jordan Compton b. unknown Ebenezer's father was Mathias Compton. He was born in Monmouth County, N.J. He married Catherine Green in New York City, N.Y. Mathias' father was William Compton. He married Jane (Jean) Brown in Monmouth County, N.J. She was born in Staten Island, N.Y. William's father was Cornelious Compton, unknown where he was born. He married Elizabeth Applegate. Cornelious' father was William Compton born in Long Island, N.Y. He married Mary Bowne, daughter of William Bowne. William's father was William Compton born abt. 1622. William was at Gravesend, Long Island, N.Y. in 1645 in Lady Deborah Moody's Colony.
