In looking at the 1880 Census for McLennon County Texas I found Comptons that do not fit into any family information that I have. If you have information as to Father/Mother , siblings of these folks I would appreciate it. My line starts with Jesse C. Compton and Jane N. Stone found in the 1860 Census of Louisiana. I have been trying to work the family both ways. I think but need to verify that Jesse C. Comptons father was James Compton of North Carolina , Mother Elizabeth Cooper of North Carolina.
