To Mike Bonner & Thomasson White I noticed your posting listing other names you are researching. I am an Echols and my GGgrandmother was Nancy Compton m. to Joel Echols in 1832, Wilson Co. TN. The only information I have found on her family came from the LDS Library. It listed her father as William Compton & mother Susan Baloris. It also listed 10 children, one being a William b. 1815 in TN. Could this be your Comptons? Could this be Susan Mullen instead of Susan Baloris? What is your interest in the Echols line?
