Looking for information on James H. Compton, bonr 1821 in Tazewell Co VA. married Jamey Amy Anna Claypool on 19 Aug, 1841. died in Doniphan Kansas around 1870-1880. Children were Charity Compton, b: Oct 1842 in Russell Co VA Sebina Compton born 1844 Jeremiah G. Compton, born 1845 Margaret Compton, born 1847 Mary Jane Compton born 1848 George W. Compton William A. Compton, Sarah Ann Compton, born 1855 Amy S.E. Compton born 1858 Emma Compton, born 1863 Columbus Compton born 1863 (twin to Emma) All the above were found in the 1870 Doniphan Co Kansas census. In 1880 Charity and her family were in Pike Co KY. don't have any info on the rest... Does anyone know what happened to the others, or who James H. Comptons parents were?.. Thanks, Judi
