Hi Mary Pat, Henry Compton Sr. of Nashville, had a daughter, Alvira Surey, who married a Goodman. I believe this is who you are referring to. I have a copy of Henry Sr.s bible transcript that I found in the TN State Archives. Be happy to send a copy to you if you would like. The transcript lists marriages, births, deaths, etc. for all of Henry Sr. children. I believe I mentioned to you that I now believe that Henry Sr. and William (whom I am researching) were brothers and that their parents may have been William and Charity Lieper/Leiper Compton.
