I'm afraid I can not help with info on the LOWE Dairy but you might contact the Museum of Western Colorado in Grand Junction; they have a website as I recall. I do have info about the SANFORDs however. You may or may not be familiar with it but, I co-authored a book a number of years ago entitled "Little Book Cliff Railway--The Life and Times of a Colorado Narrow Gauge." There is a photo reproduced in the book which shows Thomas SANFORD and Guy SANFORD. If I am not mistaken, they would be your great grandfather and grand- father. Thomas was a foreman for the Book Cliff coal mine; a significant player in Grand Junction's history. I'll take a look through the news clippings we used for research and perhaps I can turn up something you can use. The book is out of print but I still have copies available at a reasonable price. It contains a couple of mentions of the LOWE family and also the BROWNSONs but I have forgotten their relationship. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you. ---bob
