    3. I am new to the list. I am researching the Sharp/Butler/Utter families from Rifle, Garfield Co. William H. Sharp/Hattie Ellen Utter Sharp; Cassins H. Butler/Jennie (Ethel) Sharp Butler; Julian S. Utter. I have found Sharp/Butler families there in the 1900-1920 era; Utter in the 1942 era BLM Land Records and in some cases on census records. If you have any information on these families, I would appreciate hearing from you. My dad Earl Sharp/Opha McNeal Sharp also lived in Rifle, Garfield Co., CO. My sister Clare Maxine was born there in 1922. My great grandfather Allen Sharp, aunt Alta Sharp, uncle Orville Sharp died there and are buried in Rose Hill Cemetery. We think besides the homestead, my dad and his father in law William McNeal might have had a candy store there. Thank you. Will Sharp

    3. Listers, I have tried to make the changes to the counties. I am CC for the four (Mesa, Montrose, Dolores and San Miguel) Because there are 7 GenConnect Boards for each county, I may have missed some..... More than Montrose! I am forwarding this Query, but I have made changes now for this board also. If I miss more, I will make those changes also. All messages that I received about the boards going to the list were positive, so therefore, I made the changes. If we have problems, I can always change back. Andrew and Anson both were residents of Montrose County at that time. It appears Andrew moved to Colorado following the death of his wife, Naomi Moore in 1903. In 1913, his youngest son, Carl Cleveland Moorman married Minnie Gay, and left the home property in KS to become a tailor. Andrew was buried in Norton in 1921, although he appears to have died elsewhere. It is known he was a farmer, and possibly had a produce business in the Montrose area.
