Alexander January 24, 2004 Sept. 3, 1967 - Jan. 21, 2004 Dean A. Alexander of Boulder died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, in Boulder on. He was 36. The cause of death is pending a coroner's investigation. The son of Robert O. Alexander and Leona J. Beien Alexander, he was born on Sept. 3, 1967, in Boulder. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1986 and from the Colorado Institute of Art in 1991, with a music business degree. Mr. Alexander owned Alexander's Landscaping for 10 years. In the off season, he was a chef at the Mediterranean, the 14th Street Bar & Grill and Laudisio Restaurant. Mr. Alexander enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, the mountains, mountain biking and skiing. "He will be truly missed by his family and his cat, Ivory," his family said. Survivors include his parents of Boulder; a brother, Robert L. Alexander of Boulder; and a sister, Debbie Gibson of Longmont. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Howe Mortuary, 2121 11th St., Boulder. A funeral servicewill be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Boulder First Church of the Nazarene, 2801 Jay Road, with the Rev. Lloyd McLaughlin officiating. Contributions may be made to the Dean Alexander Memorial Fund, in care of Boulder Valley Credit Union, 5505 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder, CO 80302.
