He passed away in 2003. James Eugene Calzada February 8, 1955 - August 11, 2003 Location: Sterling Service: 11:00 A.M. Thursday August 14, 2003 Visitation: 11:00 A.M. Thursday August 14, 2003 Cemetery: Riverside Cemetery James Eugene Calzada, 48, of Aurora, Colorado and formerly of Sterling, died Monday, August 11, 2003 in Aurora. Visitation will be Wednesday August 13, from 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Tennant Funeral Home, with a vigil and rosary service to follow, also at Tennant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday August 14 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Reverend James Baird officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Jim was born February 8, 1955, in Sterling to Anselmo ""Sam"" Calzada and Cecelia (Artzer) Calzada. He grew up in Sterling and attended grade school and St. Anthony Catholic School and graduated from Sterling High School in 1973. He then attended college in Greeley for one year, then moved to Denver to attend Denver Institute of Technology. On March 17, 1977, he married Ronalyn Wiebers in Aurora. Jim worked for many years at Johnson Controls, and then worked for RTD until his health began to fail in 1997. Jim enjoyed woodworking, "This Old House", the Brocos, and his puppy Dante. He loved to tinker with electronics and any type of wiring. He especially enjoyed traveling with family to Branson, Missouri, and going to the mountains. Jim was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Jim is survived by his wife Ronalyn Calzada of Aurora; brothers Steve Calzada, and Bob Calzada and wife Karen, all of Aurora; sisters Pam Foss and husband Andy of Denver; and Peggy Bogie and husband Jim, of Sterling; mother-in-law Mary Wiebers, of Sterling; brother-in-law Gary Wiebers and wife Eugenia, of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Joni Gernsey and husband John, of Sterling; two nieces; four nephews; and puppy Dante. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Cecelia Calzada, and brother Richard. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation, C/O of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O.
