It is on County Road 25, about 3 1/2 miles south of Highway 14, directly east of Sterling. If you continue on that road, it takes you to Merino. There really isn't anything there, except a wide place in the road. I would be interested in seeing the painting your sister did. Do you have a way to send a digital photo of it? Would there be anyone having old snapshots of it. I have all the books ever written about Logan county and have yet to see any pictures of this town. I have a painting that was made from my sister's memory as she remembered it as a child. But would like to collect pictures of LOGAN.

It was just a group of farmers that formed a community around a country church. To get to Kelly Area once in Sterling go south on State Hwy 61 to County Road 6. Turn West or right and Cemetery is about 2 miles west. I Pheasant hunt in area every year and I think is well marked. Jim....

The only other Mechem is Jesse Stoneham b. 10-05-1852 in Indiana d. 11-11-1943 and wife Virginia b. 03-16-1866 in Missouri, d. 12-27-1938 with her surname as Edward. Kelly Cemetery is small country cemetery about 20 mi north of Otis Colorado. No info any of their children. Info from Logan Country Genealogy Society Cemetery Survey 1984. There are no other Davis's buried in any other Kelly area cemeteries in area. Hope this helps. I do have complete listing of cemetery. Let me know. Jim.....

    2. I am seeking info on Leona Emmaline Carle Moll who was born 16 Feb 1904 and died sometime in March 1985 in Sterling, Logan Co., Colorado. Leona married David MOLL but I do not know when or where. David was born 23 June 1902 and died in Boulder, Colorado sometime in June 1980. I believe that they had one child, Jerold who would have been born after 1920. Any help appreciated.
