Hi List, I forgot to say I was forwarding Marie's original message to the list. She had subscribed to the list but her message did not make it. Instead it was forwarded to me. I am not the person you should be sending your replies to. You can send them to the COLLINS- [email protected] or to Marie at this address <[email protected]> . I've include all the email below into one so it might clarify things. My gr grandfather, Hamlin R. COLLINS, was born in Brunswick Co VA (I think) in abt 1805. He is listed in the 1840 NC Halifax Co with one family. He married again in 1856 and is listed in the 1860, 1870, & 1880 NC Halifax Co Census with his family. He married Rebecca POWERS in 1856. He is almost 30 yrs older than Rebecca. The families seem to like the name Elizabeth. Would you have any information on my family? Any help would be appreciated. Elizabeth.
