Looking for additional descendants of my wifes ancestor, William Lock COLLINS, who married Ann UNKNOWN (possibly Ann LORING, d/o Joseph LORING and Zeruiah SHELLEY). COLLINS, b. 10 May 1789 Edward COLLINS, b. 6 April 1791 Henry COLLINS, b. 6 April 1791 Sarah Ann COLLINS, b. 4 Aug 1793 Joseph J. COLLINS, b. 7 Apr 1796 My wifes ancestor, Edward COLLINS, was the first brick mason in the city of Wheatland, Monroe County, NY. He married 14 March 1812, Sophia LYON, d/o Shubal LYON and Sarah MEAD. They had at least 6 children based on early census information, but I only know the name of my wifes ancestor, Edward Henry COLLINS, b. 12 Nov 1823 in Wheatland, Monroe County, NY, who married Rosannah BENNETT, b. 1829 in NY, d/o Elias BENNETT and Roxanna WOODWARD. Edward Henry and Rosannah (Bennett) COLLINS moved to IL and both died in Peoria, IL, in 1895 and 1916, respectively. Their children were: Francelia COLLINS, b. June 1850 in NY, who probably married 1870-1880 in IL, and I have been unable to trace her subsequently. Carroll COLLINS, b. 2 Sept 1851in Scottsville, Monroe County, NY, d. 20 Dec 1934 in Marshall, Calhoun County, MI. Homer B. COLLINS, b. abt. 1859 in IL, d. 1910-1915, probably in Peoria, IL (my wifes ancestor), who married 26 May 1885 in Des Moines, IA, Jenny Samworth CATE, b. 22 Jan 1866 in Des Moines, Polk County, IA, d. after the 1930 census. A descendant of Carroll COLLINS joined the SAR by proving his ancestry to William Lock COLLINS. I would be interested in corresponding with descendants of the other children of William Lock and Ann COLLINS, any of the unknown children of Edward and Sophia (Lyon) COLLINS of Monroe County, NY, and any descendant of Francelia COLLINS.
