It has been a while since I posted and I am in hopes there are new members who can shed some light on my line. Meredith Collins b. 1760 Va. d. 184041 Pike Co. Ky He was a REVWAR soldier who joined in 1776 Fincastle Co Va w/ 3 other Collins men, George,David and Lewis. These four Collins stay together til 1796 Wilkes Co. NC and then split up with George settling in Peach Bottom, Grayson Co. Va. David and Lewis going to TN and Meredith settling in Russell Co. Va. Meredith appears to have "taken up with" instead of a paper recorded marriage cause in over 30 years of searching no record has ever been found. 1) name unk ca: 1785 -6 2) "Polly" Margaret or Mary HOLLOWAY ca: 1795 probably Wilkes Co. 3) Milly Johnson ca: 1815-18 Floyd Co/Pike Co Ky Children by 3 women : Bradley b. 1786-7 female possibly Amy John W. b. 1797 Edward Archibald b. 1800 Russell Co. Va. James b. 1802-3 Russell Co. Va female possibly Lucinda Reuben William b. 1806 Russell Co. Va. Merdy Johnson Collins b. 1815-18 Pike Co. KY Can anybody verify this family ? Anybody have birth records for Russell Co. Va. ? Would appreciate any help on this line. Brenda Collins Dillon
