    1. Meredith Collins REV WAR soldier
    2. It's been a while since I sent in this information. Hopefully we have new commers and someone will contact me. Meredith Collins b. 1760 (possibly Orange Co. Va) d. 1841 Pike Co. Ky. Parentage unk ( believe it is possible he was related to Vardimon Collins b. 1764) He joined Fincastle-Montgomery Co. 1776 under Captain James McDaniels( this record was found at Christianburg,VA, "Merdy" being 16 years of age entered RevWar with three other Collins, same day, same district, George, David, and LewisCollins) He also seved with these same Collins after the war was over in the Montgomery Militia under a Captain Osburn 1780's. Meredith had three wives( not sure of any legal marriages as no record has never been found) 1) unk, mother of Bradley and a female child; 2) Polly Holloway, mother of JohnW., Edward, Archibald, James, a female, Rubeun, William 3) Milly Johnson , mother of Merdy Johnson aka Levi Collins Meredith 's exsistance and location of where he lived durning the Militia is now the center of my search. I know he was somewhere in the Upper New River Valley along the Flatt River. I believe the reason I haven't found him is that he is from a Tri-racial mixture or Melungeon bloodline. I believe somehow the Saponi Indians are connected to this group of Collins. Anybody researching any of these Collins I wish you would get in touch with me. I am very interested in finding others searching the three men that entered RevWar with Meredith ,George Collins settled in Peach Tree Bottom.........I know nothing of David or Lewis except these Collins were always together from 1776 til 1796 Wilkes Co. Tax list. Meredith went to Russell Co. and the others went to Tennessee. Brenda Collins Dillon
