This really intriques me. The farthest I've been able to go back on my husband's Collins line is David Collins 1804-1867 m. Martha Thomas 1809 - after 1860 One of their children was a John W. 1840- after 1902 These are from VA & obviously not the same direct family but often families travel together or marry sister & brothers from another close family. Does anyone have any ideas? Happy Familying, Laura Irby in VA I have been researching the Collins family from Lowndes and Berrien Counties. Specifically the family of John W. Collins from SC and Mary Giddens from GA. 2 of their daughters married the sons of Elias Thomas from Cat creek, Lowndes county. Elbert Thomas married Martha A. Collins and John N. Thomas married Pheobe Collins. I have alot of information on this family but and stuck on the parents of John W. Collins Teri Schneider
