Samuel Collins Sr. immigrated from Scotland or Ireland about 1760, married Grace Hamilton Samuel Collins also born in Scotland or Ireland 1753-1825 (m) Agnes Thompson John S. 1755, born in Scotland or Ireland (m) Isabella Currie Margaret (m) Samuel Stewart in Ohio Elizabeth 1757, born in Scotland or Ireland (m)? William 1762-1822, (m) Lydia Manifold their home was listed as a station during the underground railroad, in Penn. Agnes Collins ? Issabell and (m) William McPherson,no years listed. Ann Collins (m) Andrew Wallace With the exception of John S. Collins 1755 all the offspring of these children are identified. John S. Collins and his wife were the present Collins connection in York Co, Penn. This line starts from William Collins Sr. ( There are no dates) whose family was from Irish beginings, and the Bissell's who were of Native Ancestry, ie Tuscaroran. His father was John Francis Collins (m) Alice Hatchett whose father was Russell Hatchett,and mother was Betty Gee, there are no future references on Betty for mother or father.. John F. Collins father was John Bembry Collins (m) Georganna Artis whose father was Leonidas Williams, mother was Sally Artis John B. Collins father was William K. Collins (m) Jane Bissell whose father was John Bissell, mother listed only as Sarah William K. Collins father was John S. Collins (m) Margaret Gemmill no further reference.
