NCBERTIE-L@rootsweb.com Hi Brenda, My, my! You certainly do have a history! You're as bad as me, that's good when it comes to ancestreal lines! Let me explain myself, sorry for the puzzle! Ok not only are some of the Collins Native, and in the Southern Band Tuscarora, but the Pattersons are in the Tuscarora in Lewiston NY, they are Onieda/Tuscarora, and I do believe they are the Snipe Clan. The Lyons are Onondaga in Six Nations, Oren Lyons is the FireKeeper of Six Nations Grand Council...And these Clans did migrate north after the Tuscarora Uprising 1711-1713. And all of the Iroquoian do go off their matrileneal (mothers) bloodline, the children are always called by the Mothers Clan. The husbands go to their wife's Clans, and if they split he returns to his mothers. Marilyn -
