William COLLINS was the Superintendent of Roads in Wayne county, New York in 1845. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1789 and died (probably) in Wayne county about 1858. He married Anne ____ (1801-1873) and had the following children: Samuel COLLINS (1820-1884) Elizabeth COLLINS (1824- Margaret COLLINS (1825-1891), born in Ontario county; Eleanor COLLINS (1829/30- William COLLINS (1831- Leonard COLLINS (1833/34- Nancy COLLINS (1835/36- ), a school teacher in Galen, Wayne county; Joseph B. COLLINS (1838-1919), lived in Wayne county; Lydia COLLINS (a. 1840- Susan COLLINS (a. 1842- Associated families include EVERHART, FOIST, SLOAN, CHAMBERLAND and LUNDY.
