John Collins who died 4 April 1841 and is buried at Nazreth presbyterian Church in Spartanburg County, SC., She quotes froma pamphlet written by Maj. John Collins titled " A Minute Account of the Seventy-Five or Statement by John Collins, a soldier of the Revolution Mrs. Mary Austin Smith who wrote a pamphlet titled "Tales of Long ago" in which she quotes her grandmother who was a daughter of Thomas Collins and others. The Rev. R.H. Reid, Pastor of Nazareth Church who wrote "Sketches of Early Families of Nazareth Church" in which he interviewed some 40 people who were born rom 14 to 25 yrs befor the declaration of Independence in 1776. Howe in His History of th ePresbyterian Church in SC pages 544 and 545 Mrs. Sarah Collins James (see Daniel James Bible) who said she was a grand daughter of Capt.
