SMITH, Susanna Cunningham, 74, of Shawsville, died Monday, January 25, 1999, at Richfield Nursing Center. She was born November 2, 1924, to the late James and Lula A. Collins Cunningham. She is survived by her son, Stephen Lee Smith of Christiansburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Magdalene West, Rosa and Charles Elmore, Ruth and Gordon Lee; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Cunningham, Joseph Lee and Exalee Cunningham; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 29, 1999 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Noah J. Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
