From: Rick J. Gunter RJG Subj: william collins Hi DW, Do you know where your William COLLINS was born and where he died? I have a William COLLINS in my family tree that was born in 1820, and he had a son named William, but his wife's name was Mary PIERCE. This is what I now have on this family: William "Big Bill" COLLINS (b.11-Sep-1820 in Kent Co. KY, d. 12-Sep-1902 in OzarkCo MO). + Mary Pierce (b. 01-Dec-1829, d. 10-Oct-1897) CHILDREN: Mary Jane (b. 1844) Lucinda (b. 1847) Emily Ann (b. 1848) Gideon (b. 1851) Selia (b. 1854) William "Little Bill" (b. 1856) + Nancy PARSONS (b. 1866, d. ?) CHILDREN: George David COLLINS (b. 30-Nov-1888, d. 21-May-1976) Tommy COLLINS Minerva "Nerve" (b. 1858) + William Mechem "Bud" GUNTER (b. June 1856, d. 24-Jun-1930) William COLLINS is a very common name. I recently tried to get a copy of my William's Civil War enlistment record and found out that there were at least 25 William COLLINS who enlisted in Missouri alone. Rick J.
