    3. MGC: http://www.cornafean.com/william_bedell.htm http://www.belfastcathedral.org/visitors/virtual-tour/item/67/corbel-william-bedell/ Black Notley is right next to Braintree in Essex. This is the birth [Chr.:25-12-1571] place of Bishop William Bedell [Bishop of Kilmore + Ardagh]. It 'seems' his parents are [John Beadle] and [Elizabeth Elliston]. Bishop William Bedell [BWB] also had use of a tract of land in Suffolk. http://dunhamwilcox.net/source_files/stebbins.htm [Lands Recorded - Sold; 2 May 1636; Cambridge, Suffolk Co., MA 46. On 2 May 1636 "Edward Stebinge of the New Towne" sold to Nicholas Danforth "one dwelling house with garden and backside, about half a rood"; one acre in Cowyard Row; three acres on Small Lot Hill; eight acres in the Neck of Land; three acres in the Long Marsh; and seven acres and a half in Alewife Meadow [CaBOP 38-39] On 2 May 1636 he sold to Nicholas Danforth ("for the use of Edward Collins") six acres in the Great Marsh [CaBOP 39]. On 2 May 1636 he sold to Nicholas Danforth "about four acres and half of land lying in the Neck of Land lately the land of Richard Webb" and "about five acres of land lying in the Great Marsh lately the land of Richard Webb" (CaBOP 39)]. Deacon Edward Stebbins is the presumed son of William Stebbins of Black Notley. Of note, and I found this interesting, he is also the person in Hartford CT. ["Thomas Bedyll of Black Notley in the County of Essex, Yoman, in his will, dated September 16, 1550 (and proved in the Commissary Court of the Bishop of London for parts of Essex), directs his body to be buried in Black Notley church, and mentions his wife Johan, his daughters Alice, Custans, Johan, and Margery, and his sons John the elder, Thomas, James, and John the younger. The will of a Johanne Bedell of Hatfield Peverell, co. Essex, widow, was proved in the Commissary Court of the Bishop of London for parts of Essex in 1576. ... She mentions the children of three daughters, Brokes, Wyseman, and Rix or Cricks. This testatrix was probably Johan, the widow of Thomas Bedyll of Black Notley."]. [John Bedell was of Notley, co. Essex. Children of John Bedell: 1. Margery Bedell married William Brock.] http://treetreetree.org.uk/Fitch.htm#JohnBedell In and around this family tree area, we find names: Fitch, Thurgood, Goss, French (!!!), Reeve, Brock, etc. I suspect this [John French of of Edwardstone] might be connected to the French chap in MA ?. [William Boosbey of Earls Colne written 3 January 1679 as the tenant or occupier along with James Markham of William's 'copyhold ....]. [Will of William Boosbey of Earls Colne, tailor. Dates of Creation, 3 January 1678/9], [Sp.: Busby]. It is of note that Jas Markham 'Weaver' of EC land lord was a tailor. Jas Markham d:06-02-1679. === === === [Recognizance of James Adams and John Clarke, both of Colchester carpenters; Adams to keep the peace to James MARKHAM of Earls Colne weaver. 1656.] [Indictment of James Adams of Colchester carpenter at Earls Colne, did break into the garden of Abraham MARKHAM there and carried away the rose bushes growing there worth 5s. 1658.] [Of Good Note]: You can note that the same? person of James Adams from Colchester is a carpenter in Earls Colne. This same James Adams has a problem with both James and Abraham Markham. For the Daniel and Nathaniel Markham to be in NE with Edward Collins, one would think that both D+N would be related. Jas Markham m:1632 and Abraham Markham m:1633, only one year apart. Probably the best strike point is that the Edward Markham who lives with Abraham Markham has no b. date for or in EC. Dale: If any person of any family was born in say Braintree Essex say between 1590-1620, there are no church registers that exist, is that correct ?. - S.K.M. - [!!!] ========================
