I'll bet this is your Collins. I probably have it incorrect, but if his mother was a Garr, it could be he was given her surname. These are my Collins in Newton Co., MS. They used to have a family reunion around Sept 4th. I don't know if they still do. I haven't been in a few years. My father was also a Texas Ranger around 1926. How do you find this info? Grace S.
