I'm back again with more information about Frank J. Collins, my maternal grandfather. I've acquired a marriage license and certificate from Norfolk, VA which states that Frank J. Collins was born in Greenville, Pa. in 1894 to Frank and Elizabeth (SP?) Collins. He was a seaman. I'd always understood he was a member of the Merchant Marines serving in Norfolk when he married my grandmother. If anyone is researching this branch of the family tree and has any info, please let me know. My grandfather married my grandmother on Nov. 5, 1917 but didn't live with her for very long. Family tales tell of him abandoning her and her infant daughter, my mother, Gertrude Schreiber (nee Collins) shortly after my mother's birth in August of 1918. Thanks so much, Glenna K.
