Hi: I have some COLLINS ancestors from Nansemond Co, VA and later Gates Co, NC I'm hoping someone can help me. My ancestor Graham COLLINS was born in Nansemond Co, VA abt. 1805. He married Nansey ARLINE in 1821 (b. 1800) in not-far-away Gates Co, NC. His kids are Elijah, Hugh, Hester, Jerusha, and Nanetta. In my research, I have not found too many Collins in Nansemond County, and my main focus right now is to find Graham's parents. So far the only Collins that are candidates are Thomas, David, and William. I think that Graham had a brother Elvy, born 1806. Hugh Wilbur Collins later moved to Gates County NC and lived out his days there.
