Hi Is anyone out there researching Collins in Misssissippi/Louisiana? This is my husbands family. 1Daniel Collins b 1825 MS married ? 2 David Collins b ? 2 Sara Collins b ? 2 Solomon Collins b? These three children supposedly left LA about 1880 and went to Texas Daniel married second wife Sarah J Irvin (Ervin ) B. 1852 AL around 1870 in Winn Parish LA Had the following children 2 George Irvin Collins b Feb 2 1871 d August 29 1949 m Eliza Oliva Gipson Nov 1 1896 2 Harve C Collins b Sept 18 1875 d Jan 5 1955 m Alafare Missouri Sanford Jan 2 1905 (husband's grandparents) 2 Conley C Collins b. 1877 d 1912 m Edna Griffin March 14 1897 2 Mary Collins b Oct 15 1880 d 1967 m Thomas H McCollum May 1900 2 Riley C Collins b Oct 24 1881 d Dec 10 1969 m Edna Griffin Collins Oct 28 1902 2 Frances Wiley Collins b Jan 1887 d ? m Bessie Louvie Brock Dec 17 1907 second wife Wenona Purcell 2 Julia Collins b Feb 3 1893 m Sam Sanford Second Husband John Jefferson Ross m Aug 11 1912 I'm looking for any information on the three oldest children from the first wife . Daniel Supposedly had three brothers ( triplets) Shadrach, Meshach & Abendego they were about 10 years younger than he. I found Shedric J on the 1860 census (Winn Parish LA) he was born in Marion Co MS and married Mary Jane Barron on May 31 1856 in Magnolia MS (Soldiers Petition 1899).
