I have the following Collins in my files that I haven't made any progress in years. Look and see if any of the names make a connection to your Collins. Below is a small descendant tree of a Joseph Collins, that lived in Morgan Co., Ga in the early 1800.. There were two brothers, Banister, and Benjamin2 Cochran that married Sarah and Nancy Collins) b. 1796). It is believed that the two girls were sisters but have no document or data to back it up. Banister Cochran ( m. Sarah Matilda Collins, b. 1796) paid some delinquent taxes for Joseph Collins in 1820. That suggest some kinship. The known children of Joseph Collins are in the tree. He had no widow, but the Pension File named children living in 1853: Joseph born about 1803, Enoch, Thomas, and Nancy who married Benjamin Cochran Joseph drew land in the 1820 Lottery; he drew land in Gwinnett Co 1-26-1824 and Irwin Co 9-4-1827..
